Anne Carr Design is an interior design and staging firm based in Los Angeles.  Started by Greenwich, CT native, ACD has done projects in Connecticut, New York, Nantucket, and her new home, Los Angeles.  A graduate of Boston University with a masters degree from NYU.  Anne Carr Design, came about in an unusual way.  After a long career in finance, Anne realized that she was more passionate about renovating homes than she was about finance. People started to ask for advice and ideas in renovating and decorating their own homes. She and a partner founded, Blinkdecor.com, a website that linked people to ideas and resources online.  Unfortunately, they were a little too early with web sourcing and could not sustain the business through the economic downturn.  Anne enrolled in the New York School of Interior Design to gain a more thorough knowledge of design.

Her knowledge of architecture, building and design has all come together to form Anne Carr Design, Inc. Every project takes into account a client’s lifestyle, their desired atmosphere, and a tasteful mix of periods and styles to bring a warmth and personal element to each home creating results that are both functional and beautiful.

A significant portion of the firm’s work focuses on architectural restoration and remodeling. Having established a reputation for meticulous attention to details of interior and exterior architecture, Anne Carr Design has been responsible for renovating many homes; instilling the charm and character of older architecture while bringing homes up to date with today’s lifestyle. In her design work, she begins by assessing the natural environment and works within the  surrounding landscape,  rather than to distract from it.  Clean lines, textural fabrics and beautiful pieces are combined to create a tranquil effect while always ending with a wow factor.

Anne was awarded Best of Houzz 2017, a a homeowner-to-homeowner guide to the top home builders, architects, interior designers, landscape pros and other residential remodeling professionals on Houzz from cabinetry or roofing pros to painters.
